We promote state-of-the-art research that elucidates various functions of microorganisms and plants at the molecular and cellar levels and clarify basic phenomena of life and biological variability. Our goal in the 21st Century COE Program is to elucidate the dynamic network of molecules that comprise cells by employing information science techniques in exhaustive analyses of genome and protein structure. Based on such highly-advanced basic research, the Graduate School provides research and developments that benefit human well-being, through which we train researchers to play active roles in the international community.
